What We Do

WHAT WE DO

What do FCPO members do?

Quite a lot, actually! Through local chapters across the U.S. and the resources FCPO provides, members are given opportunities for fellowship, Bible study, and service, learning to provide support and encouragement to other Christian officers, become more effective witnesses for Christ to those around them, and train others to join with them in carrying out the Great Commission.

The three areas we focus on are:

Fellowship

Coming together to encourage and support each other

Fellowship is an important aspect of FCPO membership. Through local chapters, members, and the online community, FCPO brings Christian officers together in a welcoming environment for fellowship and support. Whether a luncheon with a guest speaker, a family picnic, or a sporting event, local chapter members coming together is an experience that allows us to learn from, encourage, and support each other in our Christian walk.

We encourage chapters to be intentional about inviting and involving spouses and children as well from time to time. Though specific activities will vary, we want chapter gatherings to be a time of positive Christian fellowship that enriches marriages and families.

Through local chapters and individually, FCPO members are uniquely positioned to significantly influence the law enforcement community for Christ, while developing strong ties with fellow Christians in law enforcement. Working and praying together, our own spiritual growth is deepened as we encourage, support, and are accountable to each other.

Bible Study

Daily time in God's Word is essential for spiritual growth

We believe personal spiritual growth, through time spent daily in God's Word, is foundational to becoming the men and women God desires for us to be. As you read the Bible, He will fill your heart with His truth, prompting you to examine your thoughts, words, and actions daily and compare them with His Word.

To that end, each new member receives a copy of our FCPO Thin Blue Line Filament Bible. Simply scan the page you are reading with your device’s camera. Your phone or tablet recognizes the page and instantly connects you to content centered around that passage. It also includes material just for peace officers, and allows them to dig deeper into God's Word anytime, anywhere.

FCPO chapters meet regularly for ongoing Bible study, and the tools and resources we provide help facilitate a more meaningful experience in God's Word, whether in group studies or personal devotions, and a deeper relationship with Him in their daily lives.

Service

Making a difference by serving the needs of others

The Christian life is one of service to others, and Jesus Christ set the perfect example. One of the ways FCPO chapters and members follow His example is through community service projects benefiting the poor, hungry, needy, and disabled. While individual projects will vary greatly from chapter to chapter, depending on the needs of the individual communities and chapter resources, each is designed to minister to others in Jesus' name, meeting physical and spiritual needs.

FCPO service projects take many forms, such as visiting an injured or retired officer, buying a bed for a child whose family can't afford one, building a handicapped ramp for a disabled officer, sponsoring a community prayer event, providing a meal for a needy or homeless person, or delivering Christmas presents to a child who would have none otherwise.

Through these and other efforts, FCPO members demonstrate the love of Christ in a tangible way to those in need around them. Your tax-deductible gift to FCPO-USA will enable us to continue reaching the law enforcement community for Christ, who, in turn, reach out to their local communities in ministry.

Your support enables the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA to continue to offer more resources and opportunities for spiritual growth to officers nationwide, building spiritual maturity in the law enforcement community that has the power to transform neighborhoods, cities and society as a whole with the love of Christ.
